Set on stilts above the hillside, the deck rail here frames a genuine sightline across the Smokies, ridge after ridge stacking toward the horizon and turning a soft blue-gray by afternoon. Cowboys Trail is a three-level, 1,552-square-foot cabin built up rather than out, with parking for four and a deck on every level to take the view in from a different angle. The main level holds the kitchen, dining, and living space along with a half bath and laundry; the bar seats 5 and the dining table seats 8, so the whole group can eat together. The upper level is an open loft bedroom with its own king bed, TV, attached shower bath, and private deck access, a quiet perch above the rest of the house. The lower level holds the remaining two bedrooms, a shared bath, the air hockey table, and the hot tub, all opening onto the view. From this ledge, the ridgeline never quite disappears, morning or night.
